Cubs Ambulance Visit

15 March 2013

Last night (12th March) the cubs visited Horsham Ambulance Station.

They were taught how to deal with a casualty both conscious and unconscious.  How to put a casualty into the recovery position and basic details on CPR. They were also shown the inside of an ambulance and all the equipment in it.

Blood pressures were taken as well as ECGs, dad Phil Stevens finding out that his heart is OK.

Needless to say the best part was sounding the sirens!

As a result of the evening the cubs gained their Emergency Aid  Levels 1 & 2 Activity badges.

Some were presented on the evening by cub mum Mrs Mooney-Vallance mum who arranged the evening and ran it along with Mick.

Many thanks to them for the evening.
