Duxford Airshow 2012

23 September 2012

Recently the Scout have been working on the Avionics Badge, one of the features to obtain the badge was to visit an Air Show.

So arranging a last minute adventure Dave took 8 Scouts to Cambridge and the Duxford Air Show.

An early start @ 6.15AM they all met and set off on the 100 miles excursion. On arrival at 8.30AM everyone decided to go for a Breakfast – it was large and very nice ( according to the reports)

The airshow did not start till 2PM so there was time for the Scouts to Venture off and look at the hangers.

As it was a hot day Ice cream and drink were the order of the day with one scout totaling 7 Ice-creams…..

  • The Highlight was the Vulcan Bomber for most of the Scouts
  • The noisiest was the  Tornado’s vibrating the ground at a low level fly past.
  • The most interesting was Concorde 001 and Memphis Belle.

After a long day it was all to much fun for our young honorary Scout for the Day – Callum had been doing his own flying by bouncing on the Trampoline.
